Yummy Ramzan food goes online

collected by: rishi kapoor

Ramzan, Iftaar and Haleem - it's a potent combination, and hotels in Hyderabad know it. That's why over 2,000 of them have begun selling now selling the traditional wheat and mutton dish to hungry customers.

But if you can't handle all the waiting and just want to get at that meat, there's now an online option.

“Anybody who would like to have Haleem can visit www.gati.com or they can call 1800-180-4284 and they can place the order and we will deliver it. It is a unique thing and they can pay through their credit card,” says Head of Retail Business, Gati Limited, M.Maheen Kannu.

Logistics firm Gati has tied up with Pista House, a local food chain to deliver Haleem to any location in the country within 48 hours.

Gati says the Haleem is specially packed to ensure that it remains fresh for at least a week.

The Haleem costs anything from Rs 320 upwards. But even the online merchants agree that nothing can quite replace the true haleem experience.

“Having Haleem here is very much like having the packed version,” said Managing Director, Pista House, M A Majeed.
